Buys credit in bulk, at 5% off
Any approved agent — a spaza owner, a rank trader, a shop assistant — buys Taxic credit in volume through the app. Pay R950, receive R1,000 of credit.
Most rural households do not have a card to type into an app — they have notes in a pocket and a spaza shop down the road. So Taxic turns that shop into the cash-in point, and pays it a margin for the trouble.

A customer hands over cash and the reseller transfers credit peer-to-peer at face value. The customer's wallet is topped up in seconds; the reseller keeps the difference.
Both sides confirm the transfer with a one-time PIN, so no balance moves on somebody's say-so. Every movement is written to the ledger.
There is no commission to chase and no invoice to send. Your profit is baked in at the moment you buy: 5% of everything you distribute, earned the second you sell it on at face value.
| You pay | Credit received | Your margin |
|---|---|---|
| R475.00 | R500.00 | R25.00 |

| R2 375.00 | R2 500.00 | R125.00 |
| R4 750.00 | R5 000.00 | R250.00 |

Margin is realised as you sell credit on at face value. Turning your float over twice a month doubles the return on the same working capital.
A cash-out needs a PIN from the driver or merchant terminal and a PIN from the reseller terminal. Neither side can move a balance alone.
Each settled movement is written with a hash over the transaction ID, timestamp, balances and the previous record, so quiet edits to history do not survive an audit.
Reseller status is granted per person and can be withdrawn. Bulk purchases are capped until an agent has a settled trading history on the route.
Taxic credit is store value, not a bank deposit. It buys goods and delivery on the Taxic network and can be exchanged back to cash through an approved reseller. It earns no interest and is not a deposit-taking product.
Already selling airtime and electricity. Taxic credit is one more line on the same counter.
Commuters pass you twice a day. That is the highest-traffic cash-in point on any loop.
Anyone with a phone and a small float. Start with R475 and grow the float as you turn it over.
Shops that also hold missed parcels. Custody fees and credit margin on the same premises.
Yes. Credit can be exchanged for cash through an approved reseller, or transferred out to eWallet, Mukuru or a bank account. Drivers and merchants cash out daily.
The transfer is confirmed on your phone with a one-time PIN before it completes, so you see the credit land while you are still standing at the counter. Resellers who fail to deliver lose agent status and their remaining float is frozen pending review.
No. You pay face value — R100 cash buys R100 of credit. The reseller's margin comes from the discount they received when buying in bulk, not from a surcharge on you.
You need the Android app to hold and spend a wallet balance. Get it free from Google Play — see the download page.
New agents start with a capped float and the ceiling lifts as you build a settled trading history on the route. It protects you as much as us — nobody should be carrying more float than their foot traffic can turn over.
Tell us where you trade and how big a float you want to start with. We approve agents route by route as each loop goes live.
